St Johnstone have snapped up Cleveland Taylor on a one-year contract after his deal at Brentford was terminated by mutual consent.
Taylor only joined Brentford from Carlisle United last summer and made 15 appearances during the first half of the season at Griffin Park.
However, he spent the second part of the campaign on loan at Burton Albion, who had been interested in a permanent deal.
The news of St Johnstone's interest, though, prompted Burton boss Paul Peschisolido to express his doubts about being able to bring Taylor back to the Pirelli Stadium.
The 26-year-old has now agreed a 12-month contract with Saints and will help to fill the void created by Filipe Morais' departure from the SPL side.
