Lukas Podolski, Mesut Ozil and Cacau are concerns for Germany ahead of Saturday's quarter-final clash with Argentina.
Striker Podolski and influential midfielder Ozil missed part of Thursday morning's training session, with team officials insisting the duo were absent as a precautionary measure but giving no more details.
The latest absence for Podolski comes after the forward broke off from training on Wednesday afternoon, having earlier complained of a minor muscle problem.
At that time, team officials insisted it was purely a precautionary measure and the 25-year-old striker, who scored in the 4-1 win over England, was expected to play against Diego Maradona's side in Cape Town.
Meanwhile, fellow striker Cacau also missed Thursday morning's training session with the right thigh injury which forced him to sit out Sunday's win over England.
The Stuttgart striker has not trained for the past two days, with Germany coach Joachim Low previously stating the 29-year-old is 'very questionable' for Saturday.
