Burton Albion have finalised the transfer of goalkeeper Adam Legzdins from Crewe Alexandra on a two-year deal.
The 23-year-old, who began his career at Birmingham, turned down the offer of a new contract with Crewe in a bid to secure more regular first-team football.
He is delighted to have linked up with Burton on a contract until 2012 and hopes the club can enjoy a successful campaign.
"I am really looking forward to joining Burton. I spoke to [defender] John Brayford and he told me what a good set-up it is here at Burton," he told the club's official website.
"I am also looking forward to working with Kevin Poole again who was one of my coaches when I was younger at Birmingham City. I can't wait to get playing again and hopefully helping Burton to have a good season."
Burton boss Paul Peschisolido added: "Kevin Poole has worked with him before and was very complimentary about him. It was a position we certainly needed to strengthen.
"He is a young lad, the potential is there once again and I feel he is a great acquisition for the club."
