Brentford have completed the signing of Wycombe Wanderers defender Craig Woodman for an undisclosed fee.

Skysports.com revealed last week that the Bees were lining up a move for Woodman following Wycombe's relegation to League Two.

The left-back had been looking to secure a move back up the Football League ladder and has agreed a three-year contract at Griffin Park.

Wycombe boss Gary Waddock admits he did not want to stop Woodman, who made over 130 appearances for the club, clinching a return to League One.

"I'd like to thank Craig not only for his efforts during my time at the club but for what he's done for Wycombe over the past three years, "Waddock told the club's official website.

"He's a good player, but this is an opportunity for him to play in League One again and we didn't want to deny him that.

"He has to look after his family and the offer of a three-year deal gives him some security."
