Skysports.com understands Brentford are closing in on the signing of Leicester midfielder Nicky Adams.
Brentford boss Andy Scott has held a long-term interest in Adams and is keen to bring him to Griffin Park.
Adams has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Leicester side since arriving from Bury in 2008 and spent a spell on loan at Leyton Orient last season.
A number of clubs were thought to be keen on signing Adams, but Brentford appear to have stolen a march on their rivals for the former Wales Under 21 international.
Brentford are in talks with Leicester about a fee for Adams and are hopeful of agreeing a deal for the midfielder.
