Experienced midfielder agrees new two-year contract

Doncaster midfielder John Oster has signed a new two-year deal with the Championship outfit. The 31-year-old was a regular for Sean O'Driscoll's side last season after arriving at the Keepmoat Stadium on a free transfer from Crystal Palace last summer. The former Wales international initially signed a six-month contract, which was extended until the end of the season. The former Everton and Sunderland man made 40 league appearances as Rovers finished 12th in the Championship, taking his career tally to over 300. Fellow midfielder Mark Wilson and striker Wade Fairhurst have also signed new deals with Doncaster this summer while defender George Friend has arrived on a two-year contract from Wolves.
