Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of striker Mauro Boselli from Estudiantes.
Skysports.com broke the news of Wigan's interest in Boselli back in May, and the Latics have now concluded the move.
The 25-year-old has agreed a four-year deal after Wigan agreed a deal in excess of £6million.
The fee for the Argentina international will jointly go to his club Estudiantes and his former employer Boca Juniors, who still owned 50 per cent of his rights.
Boca had still harboured hopes of landing Boselli, but Wigan agreed terms and have now finalised their swoop.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez.was delighted to seal the move and feels Latics fans will soon be seeing an exciting talent in action at the DW Stadium.
"Mauro is a goalscorer, who lives to put the ball in the back of the net and he is somebody we have been looking at for a long time," he said.
"At 25 he is at a perfect moment in his career to come and play in the Premier League, and he has all the right qualities to make his mark at this level.
"He is a clever player, a natural finisher who can cause havoc in the penalty area, and he gives the team some great new options with the variety of roles he can play.
"We want him to reach his full potential here and bring plenty of smiles to the Latics fans."
