Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has conceded he was lucky Frank Lampard's goal was disallowed during his side's 4-1 victory over England.
With England 2-1 down, Lampard was convinced he had equalised when his shot beat Neuer before hitting the underside of the bar and bouncing over the line.
TV replays showed it had gone about two feet over the line, but to England's astonishment, Uruguayan referee Jorge Larrionda disallowed his effort.
The incident was a key moment in the game as Germany took advantage of the slice of luck to go on and score two goals in the second half to book their place in the quarter-finals.
Schalke keeper Neuer revealed he tried not to react to the the referee that the ball was over the line.
"I tried not to react to the referee and just concentrate on what was happening - it was difficult. I knew it was close," said Neuer.
"Then I saw it on the television in the doping control office and what actually happened. I knew it was tight - probably about two metres!"
