Frankfurt keen on Halliche

Defender wants to move on

Halliche: German interest

Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are thought to be interested in Algeria international Rafik Halliche.

The 23-year-old centre-half caught the eye of the German outfit during this summer's World Cup, having put in a number of solid performances for the Desert Foxes.

Halliche is currently contracted to Portuguese outfit Benfica, but spent last season on loan at Nacional.

Lille have also been linked with the powerful defender, and he is keen to move on to pastures new.

"I had a great loan period with Nacional Madere," he told skysports.com.

"I belong to Benfica till 2012, however I want to go in another better league.

"I think the German, French and the English league will be perfect for me.

"Benfica is a very big team here, no doubt about that, but maybe it will be better for me somewhere else."
