QPR boss eager to talk Spurs youngster into permanent move

Neil Warnock has travelled to Morocco in a bid to persuade Adel Taarabt to rejoin QPR. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder impressed last season on loan with the Hoops from Tottenham, scoring seven goals in 41 Championship appearances. Taarabt's fine form has reportedly attracted interest from several clubs, aware his first-team opportunities at Spurs are set to remain limited on his return to White Hart Lane. And with his future at the Premier League outfit uncertain, QPR boss Warnock is hoping to meet up with the Morocco international and convince him to make a permanent move to Loftus Road. "It's difficult to discuss things over the phone and I want to let Tarbs know we're serious," Warnock told the Fulham Chronicle.

High hopes

"It won't be a question of a loan deal - and if he believes we're a club who will play in the Premiership the season after this one, then we need to sort something out with Spurs. "Does he want to jump into the unknown and languish in the reserves perhaps? "Or does he want to play for a club that believes in him and can further his career?" QPR are looking to mount a challenge for promotion to the Premier League next season after finishing mid-table in the Championship last term.
