Rotherham United have confirmed the signing of Luke Ashworth from Leyton Orient.
The 20-year-old central defender arrives on a free transfer after agreeing a one-year deal.
Ashworth joined Orient in January 2009 from Wigan, but he failed to settle in London and has now moved back to the North with Rotherham.
"I am delighted to be here, and want to thank the manager for giving me a chance to move back closer to home," said Ashworth.
"I am looking forward to meeting up with the lads for pre-season training and optimistic about the season ahead."
