Brentford striker Ben Strevens' future remains in doubt after confirming Wycombe have made an approach for his services.
Strevens joined Brentford from Dagenham & Redbridge last summer and made 25 league appearances, scoring six goals, during his debut season at Griffin Park.
But the 30-year-old confirmed in May that he would be allowed to leave the club in the summer should the right offer come in.
Former club Dagenham and Carlisle are interested in Stevens, while talks with Wycombe are ongoing.
Strevens told the Buckingham Advertiser: "The clubs were speaking and I thought something was going to happen last week, but as it stands, I'll be starting pre-season with Brentford on Monday.
"Carlisle had shown an interest but it would've meant moving my family up there, while I'm not sure how far the Dagenham thing has gone."
