Norwich City have had a bid in excess of £500,000 for Simeon Jackson turned down by Gillingham.
Skysports.com revealed the Canaries' interest in the Canadian international last week as Paul Lambert looks to strengthen his squad.
The 23-year-old scored 18 goals last season for Gillingham, but that could not save them from relegation to League Two.
Now Jackson is being tracked by a host of clubs, but Norwich look to be in pole position to land him.
The Championship outfit have firmed up their interest by lodging a bid for Jackson of over half-a-million, but Gillingham have rebuffed the offer.
