Kevin Blackwell has confirmed there has been interest in Billy Sharp and remains uncertain whether the striker will stay at Sheffield United.
Sharp enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Doncaster Rovers last season and has already been the subject of a club record offer from Sean O'Driscoll's side.
The Blades rejected the bid from their South Yorkshire rivals and Blackwell is waiting to hold talks with Sharp regarding his future.
Blackwell said: "You can't predict what will happen. Three weeks ago Paddy Kenny was here and I wasn't expecting him to go.
"There has been interest, but Billy has been away on honeymoon so we have been waiting until he gets back.
"If there are any offers they will be considered and dealt with by Trevor Birch in the usual way."
Doncaster remain keen on a deal while both Leeds and Burnley have been linked with moves for Sharp, who has reportedly been valued at £1million by the Blades.
