Marc Laird has expressed his delight after signing a new one-year contract with Championship new boys Millwall.
The midfielder has made 91 appearances for Kenny Jackett's side, scoring seven times, since joining from Manchester City in January 2008.
He was offered a new deal on the back of the club's promotion and the 24-year-old is looking forward to playing at a higher level next season
Laird told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to sign for another 12 months. I am so pleased to be staying at Millwall.
"This is a great opportunity to step up to the league above. These are exciting times for everyone and I am so glad I am going to be part of it.
"There is real competition for places, but I believe in myself and am very determined to play as much Championship football as possible."
