Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen has played down rumours linking him a move away from the club.

Reports have suggested Greek duo Olympiakos and Panathinaikos were lining up moves for the Danish shot-stopper.

The 21-year-old, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bristol Rovers last season, insists he has no plans to leave Reading and is happy to stay at the Madejski Stadium.

"I know there are two Greek clubs that I've heard a little rumour, but I have not heard anything specific at all," Andersen told Onside.dk.

"Then there are some rumours in England, but my first priority is clearly to become first-choice goalkeeper at Reading and play matches.

"I've been there three-and-a-half-years and I want to demonstrate to the club which has given me a chance in English football that I want to be part of the success and history of the club.

"Currently I am in talks with Reading [over a new deal]. It is a fairly exciting and decisive period in the future so I am weighing up my options."
