Emmanuel Eboue thinks that Sven Goran Eriksson's composed approach has instilled a new-found self-confidence among the Ivory Coast squad.
Eriksson is known for his cool and calm demeanour and at times he was accused of a lack of passion during his time in charge of England.
But Eboue, who is expected to start against Brazil in World Cup Group G on Sunday, believes that style suits an under-achieving Ivory Coast.
The Arsenal defender said: "We are so happy to get Eriksson as our manager because now when we play we are more solid and more compact.
"Our objective is to defend well first.
"Every player feels very well and we've got confidence in ourselves."
