Birmingham City are in talks to sign to sign highly-rated Crystal Palace full-back Nathaniel Clyne, skysports.com understands.
The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the most promising young defenders in England.
He made his debut for Palace in 2008 and has been a first-team regular ever since.
Wolves failed with a bid to sign him in January, as Clyne elected to finish the season with Palace as he helped them successfully battle against relegation.
Now Clyne looks set to leave and Birmingham are firm favourites to land him.
Their city rivals Aston Villa are also keen whilst former Palace chief Neil Warnock also retains an interest at QPR.
