Skysports.com understands Barcelona are not overly concerned by reports in Spain that suggest Daniel Alves has rejected a new contract at Camp Nou.
Catalan newspapers have stated that the Brazil international, who is under contract until the summer of 2012 and is preparing for his country's World Cup opener against North Korea, has turned down an offer of two additional seasons and an increase in his salary.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has been linked with Alves as he bids to strengthen his squad in order to force a way into the Premier League's top four.
The Italian is therefore likely to take interest in rumours that the 27-year-old's lawyers have snubbed the terms that have been presented in Spain.
But skysports.com understands from sources at Barcelona that the Primera Liga champions are not panicking and expect negotiations to continue with Alves.
