Benfica are interested in signing Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor, according to the player's agent.
McGregor has been linked with a move away from Ibrox this summer with the club set to lose a number of stars due to their financial problems.
A host of sides have been credited with an interest in McGregor in the past and now Portuguese giants Benfica are tracking the 28-year-old.
McGregor's representative, Scott Hume, claims an agent working for Benfica has been in contact about a possible switch to the Estadio da Luz
"In this case there appears to be genuine interest from the club," Hume told the Scottish Daily Express.
"If I didn't believe it was accurate then I would not be drawn in to commenting.
"Allan is under contract until 2013 and adores playing for the club.
"The Champions League is a big attraction for any player.
"Allan is 28 now and some might ask if he's achieved all he can do for Rangers?
"For now the next move has to be Benfica making contact with Rangers and sorting things out at their end before Allan has anything more to think about."
