Ghana have been handed a boost with the news that Sulley Muntari should be fit for their Group D opener with Serbia.
Inter Milan midfielder Muntari has been forced to train alone and missed the squad's warm up games since picking up a thigh injury in the friendly with Holland at the start of the month.
The former Portsmouth man has recovered from the problem and is now in line to make the starting XI against Serbia after taking part in training behind closed doors on Friday.
"Muntari played himself into contention for a starting place in the Ghana team against Serbia after training normally with the Black Stars squad in Rustenburg," read a statment on the Ghana FA's website.
"The midfielder has recovered from a thigh injury."
