Obafemi Martins admits the weight of a nation is on Nigeria when they meet Argentina in their opening group game.
The Super Eagles will have their work cut out in containing La Albiceleste's star players, namely Lionel Messi who was key to Barcelona's La Liga winning campaign.
Martins, though, says it is not all about one star player on Saturday when the two sides meet in Johannesburg.
The former Newcastle striker is looking forward to the task of overhauling the Group B favourites for the millions of fans who will be cheering them on to do so.
"There are 150million people in Nigeria who are going to be watching the game," he said.
"We've been playing football for ages, this is the World Cup, we know it is important for us all.
"That's why we're here, we've got to give it our best."
All round talent
Martins said the Argentina squad boasts all-round talent and that it would be stupid of Nigeria to focus all of their attention on one player.
"We talked about Argentina," he said. "We know Messi is a good player but we have to play against the whole team.
"It is not just about Messi but Argentina."
Nigeria, who were semi-finalists in the African Cup of Nations earlier in the year, have not lost any of their World Cup warm-up matches, albeit against lesser opponents.
