Goalkeeper signs new two-year deal

Inverness goalkeeper Ryan Esson has pledged his future to the club by signing a new two-year deal. Esson played a key role in helping Inverness win promotion back to the SPL last season and the club were keen to keep him as they prepare for life back in the top flight. Inverness boss Terry Butcher was delighted to see Esson end speculation over his future by signing his new contract. "It is encouraging that Ryan has committed himself to us," Butcher told the club's official website. "He was outstandingly consistent last season and his experience will serve us well in the top flight. We are still looking to add another keeper to the squad, replacing Kyle Allison, who was released." Former Aberdeen keeper Esson admits staying at the club was always his priority despite being linked with a move away from the Highlands outfit. "I'm pleased everything is settled. It was always my first choice to stay at the club," noted Esson.
