Swindon chairman Andrew Fitton has rubbished reports linking striker Charlie Austin with a move to Cardiff.
The 20-year-old joined Swindon from non-league Poole in October and went on to score 20 goals in 38 games for the Robins last season.
That helped Danny Wilson's men reach the League One play-off final, where they lost 1-0 to Millwall at Wembley.
But Fitton has dismissed talk of interest from Cardiff, themselves beaten in the Championship play-off final, as mischievous.
Unsettling
"I'm amused," said Fitton. "I think someone should ask Charlie.
"It's a bad story put in by somebody who wants to unsettle the player."
The Robins have already lost 29-goal top scorer Billy Paynter, who was out of contract this summer and chose to join promoted Leeds after turning down a new deal at the County Ground.
