Scunthorpe have beaten off competition from a number of other clubs to sign striker Chris Dagnall on a free transfer from Rochdale.
The Iron have been one of the busier clubs since the season's climax with Paul Hayes, Marcus Williams and Grant McCann all leaving, while Accrington's Bobby Grant has joined.
And, with star man Gary Hooper also expected to move on, they have swooped to secure the services of Dagnall.
The 24-year-old had also reportedly attracted interest from several other clubs including Charlton and Millwall.
