Palace keeper could be tempted to join Warnock at Loftus Road

Crystal Palace keeper Julian Speroni has refused to rule out the prospect of joining Queens Park Rangers. The Argentine shot-stopper has spent the last six years at Selhurst Park, having joined the Eagles from Dundee in 2004. During that time has made 171 appearances and has been named Palace's Player of the Year in each of the last three seasons. He could, however, be about to try his luck elsewhere, with interest in his services reported to be growing.

Short career

Former Palace boss Neil Warnock is known to be an admirer of the 31-year-old and he has been strongly linked with a move to take him to QPR. Speroni admits he could be tempted to make such a switch should an offer be forthcoming, but insists he is yet to make a definitive decision on where his future will lie. "A footballer's career is a short career and sometimes you have to do what's best for your family and yourself," he told the Ealing Gazette. "A lot of things are going on at the moment, though, so we will see what happens."
