Roberto Di Matteo is remaining tight-lipped on reports West Brom are closing in on Stephen Hunt and James Beattie.
Hunt is being tipped to leave Hull City following relegation while Beattie's future at Stoke has been in question for some time.
Republic of Ireland international Hunt was one of the Tigers' leading lights last season with six Premier League goals from 27 starts.
While Di Matteo admits the Baggies are working hard behind the scenes on new signings, he is against confirming who is on his shopping list.
"We are talking to a lot of players, players' agents, trying to finalise a few deals," said Di Matteo.
"One or two of those players have been linked with us, some of them haven't.
"But we are working and talking to a lot of people to try and shape the team.
"We are considering a lot of players at the moment."
