Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is almost certain to miss the FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday due to an ankle injury.
German-born Ghanaian Boateng, who scored a penalty during Pompey's semi-final victory over Tottenham, did not travel with the rest of the Portsmouth squad to London on Thursday and manager Avram Grant says he is unlikely to be available for the Wembley showdown.
"Kevin has not trained this week and, at the moment, he will not play," said Grant.
"It is just an ordinary week for Portsmouth - we have only the eight injuries."
Key Pompey midfielder Jamie O'Hara is hoping to be match fit after having painkilling injections to help a back problem.
But several players are in doubt for the clash, with Marc Wilson, Nadir Belhadj, Lenny Sowah, Richard Hughes, Hassan Yebda and Aruna Dindane all struggling with injuries.
