Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong has secured a place in Cameroon's preliminary World Cup squad.
Paul Le Guen has decided to reward the French-born centre-back for his performances at Spurs this season with a place in the 30-man squad despite leaving the 23-year-old out of the African Cup of Nations in January.
Bassong joins White Hart Lane team-mate Benoit Assou-Ekotto, while there is also a place for Alex Song of North London rivals Arsenal who is carrying a knee injury.
Young prospect Joel Matip will also get his chance to impress, but there is no place for Daniel Ngom Kome, who has been a first-team regular for Tenerife this season.
Cameroon's attack will be led by star striker Samuel Eto'o who is set to feature in the UEFA Champions League final for Inter Milan's showdown with Bayern Munich on May 22nd.
