Derby are lining up a move for Doncaster defender Gareth Roberts, skysports.com understands.
Roberts, who is out of contract, has been offered a new deal with Rovers, but the Rams are hoping to lure him to Pride Park this summer.
The 32-year-old has established himself as a key player at the Keepmoat Stadium since arriving from Tranmere four years ago.
The former Liverpool trainee has made over 100 appearances for the club and has won nine caps for Wales.
Derby boss Nigel Clough is in the market for a new left-back with Jay McEveley having left the club and Roberts is believed to be at the top of his wanted list.
