Gianluigi Buffon believes Rafa Benitez would be an ideal candidate to take charge at Juventus this summer.
Speculation continues to suggest that the Liverpool boss could be on the move in the not too distant future, with the Spaniard growing increasingly frustrated at Anfield.
Funds he believes were promised upon him signing a new contract have failed to materialise, while the Reds have endured a torrid season on the field.
That has led to reports suggesting Benitez is now ready to try his luck elsewhere, with no shortage of takers willing to bring the successful coach on board.
Juve are known to be among those monitoring his situation at Anfield, with rumours claiming tentative discussions have already been held.
The Serie A giants have suffered in much the same way as Liverpool this term, with a sorry run of results causing them to miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification.
Sweeping changes are now expected to be implemented in Turin, with the appointment of a new coach towards the top of their list of priorities.
Benitez remains the stand out candidate at present, and would have the full support of the Juve players were he to move to Italy.
World Cup-winning keeper Buffon feels the former Valencia boss would be an inspired choice for the Bianconeri, with his record in both Spain and England proving that he knows what it takes to land major silverware.
"His CV speaks for itself," Buffon told Sky Italia.
"He gives the impression of being a coach who can handle difficult situations, managerial situations."
