Catania sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco admits several clubs remain in the running for Jorge Martinez.
The highly-rated frontman is attracting interest from across Europe, with his current employers already resigned to the fact that he will move on over the summer.
The likes of Chelsea and Manchester City are reported to be keen on taking him to the Premier League, while Napoli, Juventus and Fiorentina all want to keep him in Italy.
Lo Monaco accepts that the Uruguayan will be sold at some point, but insists the destination of such a switch is yet to be decided.
"Martinez will leave, I have said that many times," he told calciomercatio.it.
"There are negotiations with foreign clubs and Italian ones, he has many possibilities."
While Catania are resigned to losing one of their attacking talents over the coming months, they have no intention of allowing any of their other strikers to leave.
Maxi Lopez is another to have been regularly linked with a move elsewhere, but Lo Monaco insists the Argentine is going nowhere unless an outrageous bid is lodged.
"A deal with Napoli for Maxi Lopez? I don't know anything about these rumours," he added.
"I still insist that the player will be here next season, unless there is a sensational offer.
"Sixteen million euros? That wouldn't be enough."
