Morten Gamst Pedersen's agent insists contract talks have been 'positive' and he his is enjoying his football.

Norway international could still extend Rovers stay

Morten Gamst Pedersen's agent insists contract talks have been 'positive' and that the Norway international is enjoying his football with Blackburn. Pedersen has been with Rovers for six years after joining from Tromso, but his Ewood Park contract is due to expire this summer. The 28-year-old midfielder looked certain to leave earlier in the season as he was out of the side, however, he is now a regular under Sam Allardyce. Pedersen's agent Rune Hauge insists discussions are ongoing although he acknowledges nothing is certain until the finer details of the deal have been resolved.

Positive

"Things are positive between the club and Morten, but there are still these little details to sort out. The little details are often the big things," he told the Lancashire Telegraph. "He is enjoying his football at Blackburn and he is enjoying the new midfield role he is playing. "Everything is good at Blackburn, things are positive. But we don't know how long until a decision is made, it could be any time."
Decision
Meanwhile, Allardyce insists he will make a final decision on Yildiray Basturk's future based on their coming games. The Turkish midfielder only made his bow in the 1-1 draw with Wolves on Saturday after joining on a short-term deal in January and Allardyce has hinted the Premier League might be too quick for him. "It was his first game for a long time and this is a quick league he is playing in," said Allardyce. "You can see some of the quality that he has and I'll try and give him another game somewhere in the next two I think and see where we go from there."
