Middlesbrough striker Chris Killen is hoping to win a long-term deal at the Riverside.

Killen only signed a short-term deal until the end of the season after arriving during the January transfer window on a free transfer from Celtic.

The 28-year-old has impressed during his time at Boro and is hoping to continue working under Gordon Strachan next season.

"I would love to stay, and the manager knows that," said Killen. "We will just leave that until the end of the season.

"We will see where we are and what we want to do after the season.

"But personally, I would love to stay here. I really enjoy my football here."
