AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini has played down speculation linking him with a move away from the San Siro.
The former Arsenal general has been strongly linked with a move back to the Premier League to join Manchester City, despite only arriving at the Rossoneri at the start of the 2008 season.
However, speaking to calciomercato.com at a charity event at the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, the 26-year-old insists he is happy in Italy.
"I would like to stay at Milan," he said.
"I don't know if (manager) Leonardo will be our coach next year but I am a Milan player and my duty is only to give my best on the field."
Talented Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato also quashed rumours of a swift exit from the club: "I'm very happy at Milan," he said.
