MK Dons midfielder Stephen Gleeson is expected to miss the closing weeks of the season with a knee injury.
Gleeson, who has become a first team regular since joining the Dons from Wolves last summer, sustained the problem during the second half of the defeat to Bristol Rovers on Monday.
A scan is expected to confirm that the 21-year-old Irishman has damaged knee ligaments and will miss the Dons' remaining six games.
Manager Paul Ince certainly feared the worse when speaking after the Rovers game.
He told the club's official website: "It looks like Stevie's medial knee ligaments so it looks like he'll be out for the rest of season - we're talking three months."
If Gleeson's absence is confirmed, it leaves Ince with a selection dilemma in midfield as Peter Leven is already nursing an ankle problem.
