Bayern Munich's bid to win the UEFA Champions League has been handed a fitness fillip with the news Arjen Robben is in their squad for Wednesday's quarter-final second leg against Manchester United.
The Bavarian giants head into the Old Trafford clash in control of the tie having come from behind to win last week's first leg 2-1.
Robben has been struggling with a calf injury of late and was a noticeable absentee from that game, while he also missed Saturday's defeat of Schalke.
Bayern are confident Robben is winning his fitness race but coach Louis van Gaal insists he will wait until the day of the game before deciding whether to start the Dutchman.
"I hope he will be able to play. But we must wait as his muscles are tired," said Van Gaal.
Robben has been joined in the treatment room by Daniel van Buyten after he was involved in a collision against Schalke.
The giant centre-half is to undergo treatment on Monday but is expected to be fit to figure in midweek.
