Portsmouth's woes continued on Wednesday night after they suffered a double injury blow in their 5-0 loss to Chelsea.
Ricardo Rocha sustained a facial injury while Tommy Smith picked up a suspected broken nose at Fratton Park.
Rocha suffered his injury during a challenge with Florent Malouda, who received a yellow card for the offence.
Of the incident, first-team coach Paul Groves said: "I thought it was a yellow card.
"Whether his cheek is depressed or broken we will have to wait and see.
"He went to hospital straight after the incident. Manager Avram Grant has since gone to see him."
Smith, meanwhile, was hurt during a challenge with striker Daniel Sturridge, although Groves did not feel the Chelsea player meant to hurt his Portsmouth counterpart.
He said: "Tom we think has broken his nose. We don't think the challenge was anything untoward."
