Harry Redknapp has played down reports linking Tottenham with a move for Joe Cole this summer.
The England international is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, with his contract at Chelsea entering its final throes.
The Blues insist they are keen to tie the creative midfielder down on fresh terms, but Cole claims no deal has been put to him.
That has led to mounting speculation that he could be on the move in the near future, with a number of leading clubs ready to snap him up.
Spurs are among those believed to be in the running, but Redknapp has dismissed such rumours by claiming that his squad is already loaded with attacking talent.
"He is a terrific player but I have a lot of terrific players here," he said.
"When you look at Luka (Modric), Niko (Kranjcar), Aaron Lennon, David Bentley, I am not short really.
"When you talk about signings of the year, Niko never gets a mention. He has to be right up there.
"What a fantastic signing he has been for us. I paid £2.5million when I signed him for Portsmouth and the same when he came here.
"When I first saw Niko play I thought that he was a terrific technical player. He has been top class since we brought him here."
While Redknapp has sought to play down the Cole talk, he admits he is hoping to extend Eidur Gudjohnsen's stay at White Hart Lane, with the Icelandic hit-man currently on loan from Monaco.
"He is a terrific footballer and a good lad as well. We will have a chat with Eidur before the end of the season," he said.
"I think he has enjoyed it here. He has got his appetite back."
