Stuttgart keeper Jens Lehmann has revealed he is tempted by an offer to finish his career in America.

German to discuss mystery offer from USA with his family

Stuttgart goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has revealed he is tempted by an offer to finish his career in America. The German declined to name the Major League Soccer club courting his services, but for the second successive season the 40-year-old is considering a retirement U-turn. The controversial former Arsenal shot-stopper was due to end his career with Stuttgart at the end of last season before fine form prompted a change of heart. Lehmann admits an offer from America is an option, but he will not make a decision until he has analysed the proposal with his young family. "Such a move is currently being discussed at home and we are considering this but I have to say we have not yet made our mind up," Lehmann told Rheinische Post. Last week, Lehmann confirmed he would not sign another extension to his contract with Stuttgart, quashing speculation the former Germany international could prolong his career with the Bundesliga outfit.
