Andrea Poli has sought to distance himself from rumours linking him with a move to Manchester City.
The Sampdoria starlet has shone in Serie A this season, bringing him to the attention of Europe's top clubs.
However, the 20-year-old midfielder insists he is happy where he is and is not looking to move on.
"At this moment I prefer not to think about this sort of thing," Poli told Corriere Mercantile.
"I prefer to live day by day, concentrating on the moment that I am going through."
Another Sampdoria ace, Gianpaolo Pazzini, has also been the subject of much transfer talk over recent months.
He, like Poli, is only focused on life in Genoa, though, and takes the attitude that whatever will be, will be.
"The transfer market? I live only for the day and think only of Sampdoria," he said.
"With my team-mates, we read the papers and we joke about this or that possible destination. Some are very imaginative.
"Some people assume there is already a deal, but I deny this. In short, there is nothing happening."
