Defender eyes April return

Blackburn defender Lars Jacobsen is hoping to return to action in a month after undergoing a hernia operation. Jacobsen has been out of action since the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the first leg of their Carling Cup semi-final on 14th January. The Danish international has declared the surgery a success and is hoping to get the all-clear to resume playing in April. "It is nine days since I had the surgery, but it is moving forward and so far it is going according to plan," Jacobsen told Onside.dk. "I would like to be ready to play again in four weeks, so hopefully I can train with the other players in a couple of weeks."
