David Goodwillie has been backed to become the next Dundee United player to make it into the Scotland squad.
Former Tangerines boss Craig Levein is now in charge of the national side and in his first squad he was quick to hand first-time call-ups to Paul Dixon and Garry Kenneth.
Now United star Morgaro Gomis, feels Under-21 ace Goodwillie will soon be making it into the full squad.
"I don't see why not if he continues playing well and scores goals," said Gomis when asked about Goodwillie's international chances.
"He's got a good future and just needs to carry on working hard. He was great and has been like that all season.
"He is a good player and I'm happy to play alongside him."
Arabs manager Peter Houston echoed Gomis' comments.
"He's a talent," said Houston.
"He has been playing with a groin injury he just can't get rid of and I've got plenty of praise for the lad.
"He just battles on regardless and I'm really pleased with him.
"To score as many goals as he does in the SPL for a young boy is great. He had his troubles earlier in the season but he just wants to knuckle down and he is scoring goals."
