Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will be out of action for a month after suffering a thigh injury in training.
The experienced keeper pulled a muscle on Tuesday and he is likely to miss six games for the Old Lady, as well as Italy's friendly against Cameroon in March.
Buffon, who has spent nine years at the club following a move from Parma, has made more than 250 appearances for Juve.
He will now sit out the Europa League clash with Ajax on Thursday and five other domestic Serie A matches.
Dutch giants Ajax travel to Turin hoping to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg and Juventus coach Alberto Zaccheroni knows it will be a tough test.
"We respected Ajax before the first leg and we have even more respect for them now," he said.
"It was difficult to get a positive result in Amsterdam and my team needs to show the same determination they displayed in Holland (in Turin) tomorrow."
