Former Inter Milan striker Adriano has admitted he would consider a return to European football.
Adriano left Inter last April to join Flamengo in his native Brazil, but speculation has been linking the 28-year-old with a return to Italy.
The striker is preparing for the Rio de Janeiro club's Copa Libertadores campaign, but Serie A side Roma and Inter's city rivals AC Milan are believed to have expressed an interest in securing his services.
The Brazil international admitted a return to European shores would not be for financial reasons and insisted a comeback would because he felt ready for the challenge.
He told reporters in Rio: "I have never made choices in my life for money, so I would not return to Europe unless I felt I was playing well enough.
"If money counted for something in my life, I would not have left my salary at Inter to come to Flamengo.
"The only thing I have said is that now I actually have the ability to return to European football because I feel more mature and ready.
"But I would still need to think and make the decision with my family."
