Harry Redknapp has admitted Jonathan Woodgate could struggle to feature for Tottenham again this season.
The injury-plagued centre-back is battling to overcome a groin problem which has restricted him to a paltry three Premier League appearances this term.
The former Leeds, Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Real Madrid defender, whose last appearance was in November, remains in America for specialist treatment on the area.
Redknapp admitted that the injury is proving difficult to eliminate and knows that he will have to continue to plan without the £8million signing.
He said: "This season? It's going to be doubtful. Please God he does but I wouldn't want to say he will play this season.
"They are still trying to find the cure for it so with the time it takes to get fit and ready to play it will be difficult."
