Coventy City loan signing Freddie Sears has revealed he turned down the chance to move to Bristol City before joining the Sky Blues.
Sears has moved to the Championship outfit on loan from Premier League West Ham until the end of the season, although a number of clubs were reportedly interested in his signature.
The 20-year-old forward spent the earlier part of the campaign on loan at Crystal Palace, although he failed to score in 19 appearances.
But despite his poor record at Selhurst Park, the hot prospect says the Robins, among other clubs, were interested in him before his move to the Ricoh Arena.
"There were a few others in for me," he told the Coventry Telegraph.
"Bristol City came in last minute after I had spoken to Chris Coleman but as soon as Coventry were mentioned I told the gaffer I wanted to go."
Sears came off the bench to replace Clinton Morrison and make his debut for the Sky Blues against QPR last weekend.
