Former Wolves and Spurs midfielder Rohan Ricketts has joined Hungarian outfit Diosgyor, according to the club's official website.
The 27-year-old, who began his career with Arsenal, has spent the past few seasons playing with MLS outfit Toronto.
Ricketts had a trial with Aberdeen last summer but failed to win a move and has been a free agent since.
Head coach Barnabas Tornyi had initial reservations about signing Ricketts, but confirmed finances are now in place to secure his signature.
"After training on Tuesday I said I didn't support Ricketts' signing due to our present financial situation," he told the club's official website.
"But our situation has now changed. Club officials explained the situation.
"I spoke to him face-to-face and he spoke about his experiences in football and he admitted he wasn't in as good condition as he should be.
"I offered him the chance to attend extra training sessions within one month and he accepted this offer."
