Derby boss Nigel Clough is still working on trying to sign Gilles Sunu or James Vaughan on loan.
Clough is keen to bolster his attacking options with Steve Davies currently sidelined with a hamstring problem.
The Rams have been talking to Arsenal about Sunu, a 18-year-old French player who can operate up front or on the right.
Vaughan, 21, was on loan at Pride Park from Everton earlier this season but played just two games before he suffered a knee injury.
Clough has revealed talks are ongoing with both clubs and he is hopeful of bringing the duo to Pride Park.
"Nothing has changed with the two players. We are still chasing them and would like to add one of the two to our squad," said Clough.
"We will pursue it again this week. With Steve Davies out, we are a bit light in the striking department."
