Lionel Ainsworth admits he will not rule out a permanent move to Brentford after joining the club on loan from Huddersfield Town.
The winger arrived at Griffin Park on an initial month-long deal last week and has subsequently extended his stay with the Bees until the end of the season.
He is in line to make his debut for Brentford against Gillingham on Saturday after starting just four games in all competitions for Huddersfield this season.
The 22-year-old is keen to be starting matches on a regular basis and is open to the possibility of a long-term stay with Brentford.
"I've started just four games so far, and that's not enough," Ainsworth told the Ealing Gazette. "I came on 20-odd times, but it's never enough time to make an impact.
"I don't think I'd be able to handle another season like this. I'd have to move on with my football career.
"The gaffer there hasn't said a word to me. I don't know whether I'm still in his plans.
"So you never know what's going to happen in football. I've got another year there, but I'm at Brentford for now. I just want to do my best here and help push for the play-offs."
